Marion recently built the department's new Heavy Rescue Truck.
The new ladder truck, funded with a combination of town and federal grant
funds, will have a Spartan 4 door, six person chassis.  It will have a 109'
R.K. 500 lb tip load Aerial ladder with a pre-piped waterway.

The truck has served Brewster since it was purchased in 1993 from a

It has been taken out of service as of January 2006 and is not expected
to go back into service.  It's replacement will come in approximately 1 year.
Some of the equipment has been placed on other apparatus.

BREWSTER FIRE

RB246
Brewster has a considerable shoreline along Cape Cod Bay. There are however, no deep water harbors in town. So the BFD recently placed in service a 21 foot Sea Ox rescue boat that is being kept in the water at Sesuit Harbor, Dennis for use in any Cape Cod Bay water responses.

Brewster Fire & Rescue Station

March 2006

BREWSTER FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Brewster Police and Fire Station on Route 6A has become simply the Brewster Fire & Rescue Headquarters. The station, built in 1974, was vacated by the Police department upon completion of Brewster's new Police Station. The fire department has grown considerably in recent years and will continue to do so as the Town of Brewster grows. The BFD will likely use the former police half of the station for administrative and living space. Smaller vehicles may use the former cruiser bays of the police station. More to follow...

HEADQUARTERS RENOVATION REJECTED
The Brewster Fire Department sought funding to renovate headquarters.  Town meeting did not pass the article at a Spring 2002 meeting.
